wisdom: things i've come to know in this, my thirty-seventh year
1. i can clip my own nails rather nicely, making ordinary nail growth possible, whereas before i always thought a professional manicure was required. while such manicures are glorious when attended with proper products and professionalism, i can now confidently attend to my nails and cuticles.
2. baking soda has amazing and diverse cleaning strength and reach.
3. it's important to adopt a healthy attitude towards one's parents, as sometimes they can behave in ways that make one question the existence of evil, and whether what appears as "evil" is still part of g-d proper.

Wednesday

what's in the tea i'm drinking now
1. hot water.
2. juice of an organic lemon.
3. fresh ginger.
4. cayenne pepper.

Tuesday

what i will do tomorrow to promote centeredness, focus and job-finding energy
1. upon waking, thank g-d for being returned to planet earth for another excellent day.
2. recite heartfelt coffee blessing, making sure to include those who would gather the beans of the vine in the shade wearing hats woven of straw worked by various indiginous people enjoying their own native culture that would include, but not be limited to, their language, sports, cuisine, fashion, gestures, beliefs, dances, arts and sacred technologies.
3. write letter to g-d focusing on his magnificence, lovingkindness, strength and sense of style and fairness in all matters, avoiding an outright plea for solutions to my trivial problems.
4. meditate for no less than fifteen ("15") minutes to work towards finding the point on the spinning wheel that is in complete stillness.
5. eat (a) ten ("10") pan toasted walnut halves, (b) a banana, (c) eight ("8") onces of cranberry juice with (d) crushed, toasted flax seeds, (e) various vitamins.

vegetables i've been really enjoying lately
1. zucchini, green and yellow.
2. bok choy, often written as "ba choy" in several chinese restaurants i've visited.
3. asaparagus.
4. broccoli.

things i've learned recently
1. walking to the train beats waiting for the bus at the bus stop where there is often second-hand smoke and the unwanted ambient noise of strange dirtbag types recounting fights and drinking incidents.
2. plain soy milk, heated, is excellent in my coffee.
3."energy healing" is stupid. it's tv evangelism repackaged by pseudospiritual urban types who leave well-paying and respectable careers in order to "heal" people by closing their eyes and picturing their patient "healed" -- as if they know what that should be.
4. egg white omelettes suck.
5. now that spirituality is mainstream, many wear it like an accessory.
6. it's amazing how much hate i can feel at times.
7. it's amazing how much love i can feel at times.
8. it's important for one's self-esteem to have a vcr that is in working order.
